Almost half of clinical trials run late. The biggest delaying factor is finding enough patients, and the delay starts with not understanding how many patients are available as defined in the protocol's inclusion/exclusion criteria. This session will start with the causes and trends in clinical trial delays and then examine solutions for planning, particularly metrics based on insurance claims, but also other statistics. The net benefit of the session will be an understanding of the statistics and tools for faster trials.
